Based in Mexico City and Paris, Jorge Ayala is a multidisciplinary artist and designer using cutting edge practices and material experimentation in his work. He has collaborated with a plethora of notable designers, where his unconventional designs have been applied to Louis Vuitton, Swarovski, Levi's, and now United Nude. Trained as an architect, we're excited to partner with Jorge, sharing a passion for design, structure, and graphics in our latest drop featuring the Sonar Fresh Hi in Apple Mint and Pink Lift.
"The Sonar Fresh Hi are a synthesis of light and reflection, when walking, of a certain spirituality. These pieces are perfect for contemporary women, who like to dress well, but who don't take fashion seriously, and for all those who like to innovate with different brands. In Architecture, there is often talk about the form, and the background in the design. Within my collaboration with United Nude and Rem D Koolhaas, this paradigm acquires total meaning; that is not only the way of carrying out and materializing the shoes, but the raison d'être, and the message that they carry is what makes our collaboration fundamental; resulting in a light and bold shoe, designed by two architects."
